Issues That Matter

As a candidate for Wichita USD 259 School Board - District 5, I'm committed to transparency and putting the needs of our community first. My platform is built around three core issues that I believe are crucial to the success of our schools: Investing in Local Public Education, Enhancing Government Transparency, and Supporting School-Based Mental Health Programs.

Invest in local public education. Our Wichita facilities need revitalizing

Every student deserves access to a world class- education, and that starts with investing in our local public schools. As an attorney with a background in family law, I'm committed to ensuring that our schools have the resources they need to succeed.

Specifically, I'm passionate about addressing the pressing issue of outdated facilities in Wichita. Our schools  need updating to provide a safe and effective learning environment for our children. I'm committed to working with local stakeholders to identify areas where we can improve our infrastructure and make strategic investments in our schools.

Enhancing Transparency and Communication with Parents

Enhancing Transparency and Accountability: A Commitment to Stronger Communities

As your candidate for Wichita USD 259 School Board - District 5, I am committed to enhancing transparency and accountability in our school district. This means ensuring that parents, teachers, and the community have a clear understanding of district decisions and operations.

To achieve this, I will:

  • Regularly update the community on district initiatives and progress
  • Ensure that district meetings are accessible and transparent
  • Foster open communication between parents, teachers, and administrators

By prioritizing transparency and accountability, we can build trust and ensure that our district is working in the best interests of our students and community.

Supporting Student Needs

Supporting Student Student Needs: A Priority for Wichita USD 259

I am committed to supporting the needs of all of our students. This means investing in school-based programs that provide our students with the resources and support they need to thrive.

To achieve this, I will: Advocate for increased funding for resources and services for students including a stronger emphasis on student-parent IEP support. I will also work to ensure that teachers and staff have the training and resources they need to work for all student's success. By prioritizing student mental health, we can create a safe and supportive learning environment that allows every student to reach their full potential.
